Meeting People and Extracurricular Activities
With full immersion into CUHK’s college system, BOSP students interact with a diverse range of students and instructors throughout their time in Hong Kong. The Colleges provide scholastic and cultural activities to complement academic learning, including activities such as singing contests, drama competitions, festival celebrations, and language-enhancement programs. Each college also has its own sports teams, which compete in intra-college competitions. CUHK also boasts a variety of student organizations, from Chinese martial arts to photography, drama, and debate.
City Life
Resting between dramatic mountains and one of the world’s busiest harbors, Hong Kong’s famous skyline boasts the most skyscrapers of any city. Listed as the fourth most densely populated region in the world, Hong Kong also boasts citizens with the world’s longest life expectancy. This gateway to the Chinese-speaking world is recognized as one of the world’s leading financial, banking, and trading centers.
With influence from its 150 years of British administration, Hong Kong now operates under the principle of “one country, two systems” as a Special Administrative Region within the People’s Republic of China and offers a dynamic and unique location for Stanford’s newest study abroad location.
